Anubhav Jain leads a research group studying new materials design using a mix of theory, computing, and artificial intelligence. Jain's group develops, evaluates, and applies models for predicting materials properties to applications such as electrocatalysis, thermoelectrics, solar photovoltaics, energy storage, and more. He is the Director of the SciDAC FORUM-AI partnership, Associate Director of LBNL's Materials Project program and part of the leadership team of DOE's multi-institution Durable Module Materials consortium. He received his B.E. in Applied & Engineering Physics from Cornell University and his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Materials Science & Engineering, and has received numerous awards including the Department of Energy Early Career Award and the LBL Director's Award for Early Scientific Career.
