Haegyum Kim, a staff scientist in the Materials Sciences Division, was awarded the Batteries Young Investigator Award from the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI), which was established in 2022 to acknowledge the achievements of young investigators in the field of battery technology and materials.
Kim’s research focuses on the development of novel materials for renewable energy storage and conversion, including rechargeable batteries, supercapacitors, and fuel cells. He also investigates chemical and electrochemical reactions to understand structure-property relationships.
